"We are the relatives of Brigitte Massonnet and Gilbert Nuguet who both died
when they were diving in the Red Sea on December 30, 2003. Since then, and
despite our efforts and those of the French justice departments, the
Egyptian authorities have not given us any explanation on the circumstances
of this accident.
That day, Brigitte and Gilbert started the dive around 9 am, near Chaab El
Fatoune site, a short distance off Marsa Shagra. Five other divers,
apparently all Dutch people, and one local instructor, Mr. Mohammed Mahmoud
Sami Abdeladim, were diving with them.
Brigitte and Gilbert were staying in Shagra village, at the Red Sea Diving
Safari Center.
If you are one of divers who were part of this group or if you know someone
who was vacationing there at the time and could be able to give us
information, please contact us through these emails : massonnet.bruno@wanadoo.fr ; philippe.massonnet@afp.com
Any information you provide us could help us get some crucial answers, two
years after this tragedy left five children, two mothers, sisters, brothers
and other family members in deep sadness.
Many thanks for your help."
